Homemade Cream Puffs with Vanilla Cream Filling

Ingredients:

Filling:

2 (3.5 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup milk

Choux Pastry:

½ cup butter

1 cup water

¼ tsp salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

4 large eggs

Instructions:

Make the Filling:
Mix pudding mix, cream, and milk. Cover and refrigerate to set while making the pastry.

Make the Choux Pastry:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a pot, bring water and butter to a rolling boil.

Stir in flour and salt until it forms a ball.

Transfer to a bowl; beat in eggs one at a time.

Drop tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden. Centers should be dry.

Fill:
Cool completely. Then slice open or use a pastry bag to fill with pudding mixture.

Optional: Drizzle melted chocolate on top for an elegant finish!
