Air Fryer Crispy Toasted Bread (Perfectly Golden & Crunchy)
Making crispy toasted bread in an air fryer is quick, easy, and evenly golden every time. Perfect for breakfast, soups, bruschetta, or snacks!
Ingredients
2–4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough, etc.)
1–2 tbsp butter or olive oil (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
Basic Crispy Toast
Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 2–3 minutes.
Lightly spread butter or brush olive oil on one or both sides (optional).
Place slices in the basket in a single layer (don’t overlap).
Air fry for 3–5 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Remove when golden and crispy to your liking.
✔ For extra crispy toast, add 1 more minute.
✔ For softer center with crispy edges, cook 3 minutes only.
Garlic Toast Variation
Mix:
2 tbsp softened butter
1–2 minced garlic cloves
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Spread on bread and air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 4–6 minutes until golden.
Cheesy Toast Variation
Toast bread for 2 minutes first.
Add shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella).
Air fry another 2–3 minutes until melted and bubbly.
Tips for Best Results
Thicker bread (like sourdough) may need 1–2 extra minutes.
Don’t overcrowd the basket.
Check at the 3-minute mark to prevent burning.
Works great with slightly stale bread!
