AIR FRYER PEARS

How to bake pears in an air fryer.

Duration:

PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 12 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 22 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pears
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Add butter to an 8 inch baking dish and place in your air fryer basket.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F/ 160°C.
  3. Halve pears and remove and core with a small spoon [Note 1].
  4. When the air fryer finishes preheating, add the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  5. Place the pear halves cut side down into the butter spice mixture. Spoon some of the mixture over the top of the pear halves.
  6. Air fry at 320°F/ 160°C for 10 minutes.
  7. Flip the pears over so they are cut side up, spoon some of the melted butter mixture over the pears.
  8. Air fry pears for 2-4 more minutes to slightly caramelize the tops.
  9. To serve, drizzle with “caramel sauce” remaining in the pan and a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt on the side.
