Ingredients

1 large russet potato, peeled

Cooking spray

1 teaspoon smoked Cheddar salt (such as Bitterman)

Directions

Slice the Potato:
Using a mandoline set to the thinnest setting, carefully slice the potato into thin rounds.

Soak the Slices:
Place the slices in a bowl of water and soak for 15 minutes. Drain and refill with fresh water. Soak for another 15 minutes to remove excess starch (this helps with crispiness).

Preheat Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.

Dry and Season:
Drain the potato slices and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Sprinkle evenly with smoked Cheddar salt.

Air Fry:
Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (avoid overcrowding). Lightly spray with cooking spray.

Cook:
Air fry for 8 minutes. Shake the basket, then continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Check occasionally to prevent burning.
