🥔 Air Fryer Potato Slices (Crispy & Easy)
📝 Ingredients
3–4 medium russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
1½ tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika (regular or smoked)
Optional: ¼ teaspoon chili powder or Italian seasoning
Instructions
Prep the potatoes
Wash and slice into thin rounds (about ⅛–¼ inch thick). Try to keep them evenly sized for even cooking.
Soak (optional but recommended)
Soak slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain and pat completely dry.
Season
Toss slices with olive oil and all seasonings until evenly coated.
Preheat air fryer
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Air fry
Arrange slices in a single layer (slight overlap is okay, but don’t overcrowd).
Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
For extra crispiness, cook an additional 2–3 minutes.
Serve immediately
They crisp up more as they cool slightly.
Pro Tips
Thinner slices = crispier chips
Thicker slices = softer center, crispy edges
Lightly spray with oil halfway through for extra crunch
Sprinkle parmesan or fresh herbs right after cooking
Flavor Variations
Parmesan Garlic: Add grated parmesan in last 3 minutes
Spicy Cajun: Use Cajun seasoning instead of paprika
Rosemary & Sea Salt: Add dried rosemary before cooking
If you’d like, I can also give you a crispy potato chips version or a loaded cheesy version 😋
