Here’s a delicious Apples & Cocoa recipe—a warm, rich dessert that’s somewhere between baked apples and chocolate pudding. Simple ingredients, no flour, gluten-free, can be vegan.

 Apples & Cocoa — Full Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

Ingredient Amount
Apples (any sweet variety, peeled & chopped) 3 medium
Unsweetened cocoa powder 2–3 tbsp
Brown sugar or honey 2–3 tbsp (adjust to taste)
Butter or coconut oil 1–2 tbsp
Cinnamon ½ tsp
Vanilla extract ½ tsp
Water or milk (dairy or plant-based) ¼ cup
Pinch of salt optional
Chopped nuts / oats / chocolate chips optional toppings

 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the apples
Peel, core, and chop apples into small cubes or thin slices.

2️⃣ Melt butter
In a pan over medium heat, melt butter or coconut oil.

3️⃣ Add apples & spices
Add apples, cinnamon, and salt. Cook 3–5 min until softened slightly.

4️⃣ Mix cocoa sauce (separately)
Stir together in a small bowl:

cocoa powder

sugar/honey

milk/water

vanilla

Whisk until smooth.

5️⃣ Combine & simmer
Pour sauce into the pan with apples and stir well. Reduce heat and cook 5–10 min until the apples are soft and sauce thickens.

6️⃣ Serve warm
Top with nuts, oats, whipped cream, yogurt, or ice cream.

Breakfast bowl Add oats, chia, yogurt
Dessert Serve with ice cream or whipped cream
Baked style Bake apples at 180°C/350°F for 20–25 min after mixing

 Variations

Make it richer: Add 1 tbsp dark chocolate or 1 tsp espresso powder

Make it vegan: Use coconut oil + oat/almond milk + maple syrup

Make it spicy: Add nutmeg, clove, or a pinch of chili
