Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef (or ground turkey/pork)
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups green cabbage, chopped
1 large carrot, diced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
4 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
½ cup uncooked rice (white or brown)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
½ tsp dried oregano
1 bay leaf
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Sauté the Beef & Aromatics:
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in onions and garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Add Vegetables & Liquids:
Add cabbage, carrots, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Soup:
