Quick and Easy Recipe for Protein Chocolate Mousse

Prep Time: 8 minutes

Chill Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups plain Greek yogurt (2% or 5% fat recommended for a creamier texture)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup cacao powder (sifted to remove lumps)

Instructions:

  1. Melt the Chocolate: Place dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted. Let it cool slightly to avoid curdling the yogurt.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, add Greek yogurt, melted chocolate, and sifted cacao powder.
  3. Whip the Mixture: Use a stand mixer or hand mixer with a whisk attachment to blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. For a thinner consistency, add a splash of milk while mixing.
  4. Chill the Mousse: Transfer the mixture to a covered container and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight. This helps the mousse thicken and enhances its flavor.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Scoop the mousse into serving cups using a cookie scoop. Top with your choice of grated dark chocolate, flaky sea salt, sliced strawberries, or other toppings.
