Ingredients:
For the Base Cream:
2 cups (500 ml) heavy cream (whipping cream)
½ cup (100 g) sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 egg yolks
For the Three Flavors:
Chocolate: 50 g dark chocolate (melted) or 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Vanilla: 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
Coffee: 1 tbsp instant coffee dissolved in 1 tbsp hot water
Instructions:
Prepare the Base Cream:
In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat until warm but not boiling.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until pale and smooth.
Slowly pour the warm cream into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook on low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly (don’t boil).
Remove from heat and divide into three equal portions.
