Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse

Here’s a full recipe for Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse – creamy, rich, but lighter than the classic version:

Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients (4 servings)

1 cup (225 g) cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)

3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (or Dutch-process for richer flavor)

3–4 tbsp sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, powdered sugar, or stevia/erythritol for sugar-free)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1–2 tbsp milk (or cream, for extra richness) – optional, for consistency

Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions

Blend the base

Add cottage cheese, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla, and salt into a food processor or high-speed blender.

Blend until completely smooth and creamy (1–2 minutes). Scrape down sides as needed.

Adjust consistency

If too thick, add 1 tbsp milk/cream at a time until mousse-like texture is reached.

Chill

Transfer into serving glasses or bowls.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour for flavors to deepen and texture to firm up.

Serve

Garnish with dark chocolate shavings, berries, or a dollop of whipped cream.

Variations

High Protein: Add 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder while blending.

Extra Chocolatey: Melt 2 oz dark chocolate, let it cool slightly, and blend in.

Nutty: Swirl in 1 tbsp almond or peanut butter before chilling.

Sugar-Free: Use monk fruit, erythritol, or stevia as sweetener.
