Let’s gooo! Here’s a classic no-fuss bread recipe — minimal ingredients, solid flavor, and that perfect crusty outside with soft inside:
Classic No-Knead Bread
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
1½ tsp salt
½ tsp instant yeast
1½ cups warm water (not hot)
Optional add-ins: herbs, garlic, cheese, seeds, etc.
Instructions:
Mix it up
In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, and yeast. Add water and mix until a shaggy dough forms. No kneading needed — just combine it well.
Let it rise (slow & chill)
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let it sit at room temp for 12–18 hours. Overnight is perfect. The dough will be bubbly and doubled in size.
Shape & rest
Lightly flour your hands and a surface. Turn the dough out, shape it into a ball (don’t overwork it), and let it rest for 30–45 mins. Cover loosely.
Preheat your oven
Crank that oven to 450°F (230°C). Stick a Dutch oven or heavy pot with lid inside while it preheats — this is key for that amazing crust.
Bake time
Carefully transfer dough into the hot pot (you can use parchment paper to help). Cover with lid and bake for 30 mins. Then uncover and bake another 10–15 mins until golden and crusty.
Cool (if you can wait)
Let it cool on a wire rack for at least 15 mins before slicing. The smell is gonna make that real hard.
