Protein chocolate cupcakes

Here’s a simple, moist protein chocolate cupcakes recipe that tastes like a treat but works for a high-protein diet 🍫💪

Protein Chocolate Cupcakes (makes ~8–10)

Ingredients

Dry

½ cup chocolate or vanilla protein powder

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ cup oat flour (or blended oats)

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

Wet

2 large eggs

¼ cup Greek yogurt (plain, non-fat or low-fat)

¼ cup milk (dairy or almond)

¼ cup maple syrup, honey, or sugar-free sweetener

2 tbsp melted coconut oil or butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional add-ins

Dark chocolate chips

Chopped nuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F and line a muffin tin.

In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients.

In another bowl, whisk all wet ingredients.

Combine wet + dry until just mixed (don’t overmix).

Fold in chocolate chips if using.

Divide batter evenly into liners (¾ full).

Bake 15–18 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Cool before frosting or eating.

Optional High-Protein Frosting

½ cup Greek yogurt

1–2 tbsp protein powder

1 tbsp cocoa powder

Sweetener to taste

Mix until smooth and spread on cooled cupcakes.

Protein: 8–12g (depends on protein powder)

Calories: ~120–150

Sugar: Low to moderate
