Homemade Hamburger Soup
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 medium carrots, sliced
2 ribs celery, sliced
1 medium potato, diced
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
4 cups beef broth (or more as needed)
1 cup green beans (fresh, canned, or frozen)
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce or 1/2 tsp smoked paprika for depth
Instructions:
Brown the Beef:
In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add Veggies & Aromatics:
Add chopped onion and garlic to the beef. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
Build the Soup Base:
Stir in carrots, celery, potatoes, diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato paste, and beef broth.
Season:
