Crock Pot Sausage Potato Soup

  • Crock Pot Sausage Potato Soup Recipe will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The sausage is so filling and the potatoes make the recipe creamy and tasty.

PREPARATION TIME:

  • Prep Time 15 minutes 
  • Cook Time 5 hours hrs 30 minutes 
  • Total Time 5 hours 45 minutes 

Ingredients

  • 1 ground ground italian sausage
  • 4 russet potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  • Brown the ground sausage and drain any remaining fat.
  • Add the ground sausage to a crock pot.
  • Place in the minced garlic, onion, potato, salt, pepper, and broth in the crock pot.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours on low or on high for 3 hours.
  • Stir in the heavy whipping cream. Cover and cook on low for 10-15 minutes until the cream is heated through.
  • Serve warm topped with the parmesan cheese and enjoy!

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
