Frosty Chocolate Protein Shake

Posted on June 9, 2026

Here’s a simple Frosty Chocolate Protein Shake recipe that tastes similar to a chocolate frosty while providing a good protein boost.

Ingredients

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (about 25–30 g protein)

1 frozen banana

1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess and protein)

1–2 tsp honey or sweetener of choice (optional)

1 cup ice cubes

Pinch of salt

½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender.

Blend until thick and smooth.

If it’s too thick, add a little more milk. If it’s too thin, add more ice.

Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately.

Approximate Nutrition

(Using milk, Greek yogurt, and one scoop protein powder)

Protein: 35–45 g

Calories: 300–450 kcal

Carbohydrates: 25–40 g

Fat: 4–10 g

Extra Frosty-Like Tips

Freeze the milk in ice cube trays beforehand for an even thicker texture.

Add 1 tbsp peanut butter for a chocolate-peanut butter version.

Add 1 tsp instant coffee for a mocha flavor.

Use frozen yogurt instead of regular Greek yogurt for a more dessert-like consistency.

For a very thick “fast-food frosty” texture, blend the shake and then freeze it for 15–20 minutes before serving.
