Thermomix Krispy Fried Chicken

Here’s a solid Thermomix-style Krispy Fried Chicken recipe—inspired by that classic crunchy, spiced coating:

🧂 Ingredients

Chicken:

1 kg chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or wings)

Marinade:

250 ml buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

Coating Mix:

200 g plain flour

50 g cornflour (for extra crispiness)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Other:

1–2 eggs

Oil for deep frying

Thermomix Steps

1. Make the coating mix

Add all coating ingredients into Thermomix bowl

Mix: 10 sec / speed 5

Transfer to a large bowl

2. Prepare marinade

Add marinade ingredients into bowl

Mix: 10 sec / speed 3

Pour over chicken and marinate at least 2 hours (overnight is better)

3. Prep egg wash

Beat eggs in a bowl (you can do 5 sec / speed 4 in Thermomix if you like)

4. Coat the chicken

Remove chicken from marinade

Dip into flour mix → egg → flour mix again (double coating = extra crunch)

5. Fry

Heat oil to 170–180°C

Fry chicken in batches for 12–15 minutes until golden and cooked through

Drain on paper towels

Tips for that “Krispy” texture

Let coated chicken rest 10–15 minutes before frying (helps crust stick)

Add a few tablespoons of marinade into flour mix for flaky bits

Don’t overcrowd the pan—keeps it crispy, not soggy

Serve with

Fries, coleslaw, or soft buns for a burger-style meal

A dipping sauce like garlic mayo or spicy ketchup
