Here’s a simple Fresh Celery Detox Juice recipe:
Ingredients
4–5 celery stalks, washed and chopped
1 green apple, cored and chopped
1 cucumber, chopped
½ lemon, peeled
1-inch piece fresh ginger (optional)
A few mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
Wash all ingredients thoroughly.
Feed the celery, apple, cucumber, lemon, and ginger through a juicer.
If using a blender, blend everything with ½ cup water, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
Stir in mint leaves or blend them with the other ingredients.
Serve immediately over ice if desired.
Yield
Approximately 2 servings.
Nutrition Notes
Celery provides water, fiber, and nutrients such as potassium and vitamin K.
Cucumber adds hydration.
Lemon contributes vitamin C and a fresh flavor.
Ginger may add a spicy kick and can help with digestion for some people.
Storage
Fresh juice tastes best right away but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Keep in mind that while this juice can be a refreshing part of a balanced diet, no juice alone “detoxes” the body—the liver and kidneys naturally perform detoxification.
